As for the this icon set...this is just a WEB icon set. You can put them on your web site or application.
Thats why they are just in a .png file format. The icons are not for a Windows or other OS.

I can see where you coming from, think you just went a little overboard.
One tip from me: use the default images we all have in our minds for certain icons (like red for danger and looking glass for search) and work from there. Don't go inventing the wheel again, use the wheel and start from there.
Like I said I really like the quality, but think about it and have another go at it.
